On 16 May 2022, Mr. Piroon Laismit, the APCD Executive Director, received a donation for persons with disabilities activities from Mr. Ray Ellis, the Chief Executive Officer of the First National Real Estate, Australia in charitable giving to the Foundation of Asia-Pacific Development Center on Disability at Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit with support from Mr. Sammy Carolus, General Manager of Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit.

These ongoing projects   are to implement “Disability Inclusive Business” with support from Division Of Fund and Equality Promotion for Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, since 2014. The Power of change

Marcy Ninomiya, wife of ex APCD Executive Director has recently published her autobiography, "The Power of Change; a Mennonite Girl's Footprints in Asia."

She writes how her life in Thailand and Southeast Asia including Vietnam impacted her life journey; how persons who joined her journey face-to-face enriched her life. It is her hope that in sharing her experiences with the next generation, it will help promote peace and harmony among individuals and nations who have a different faith, culture, way of life and can be friends living in harmony.

The JICA Thailand Office and the University of Tsukuba had a brainstorming session with APCD on social inclusion of persons with disabilities through adapted sports on 28 April 2022.

Representatives of the ASEAN Autism Network's (AAN) Executive Committee met with Mongolia's Autism Association on 27 April 2022

The Mongolian Embassy in Thailand assisted representatives from the Mongolian Autism Association with their self-introductions and initial dialogues during the ASEAN Autism Network (AAN) Executive Committee Meeting.

She discussed the possibility of collaborating with the government and other organizations to assist Indonesians living with autism and their families.
