On 15 December 2025, APCD staff Ms. Siriporn Praserdchat, Logistics Officer, and Ms. Ms. Thorfan Dechachainimit, Project Coordinator, joined an in-person and hybrid gathering to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025 under the event on “Empowering Persons with Disabilities through AI Innovation” which organized UNDP Bangkok, in collaboration with Microsoft Thailand Limited. The event took place at Microsoft Office, 35 Floor, One Bangkok Tower 4, and was also accessible online via Microsoft Teams.

The event aims to highlight innovative and inclusive initiatives that demonstrate how responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance accessibility, empowerment, and equitable opportunities for persons with disabilities. By showcasing practical applications of AI developed for, with, and by persons with disabilities, the gathering will emphasize the role of inclusive technology in advancing sustainable development.

The agenda includes an opening remarks by Microsoft ASEAN, Ms. Daphne Choong, followed by expert sessions on shaping an inclusive future through AI innovation and advancing disability inclusion in the digital age.

This event reaffirms the commitment of UNDP and Microsoft to leveraging technology as a powerful tool for inclusion, empowerment, and sustainable development for persons with disabilities.

Through this event, APCD representatives created stronger networks with UNDP and other participants.
