On 9 December 2025, APCD representatives attended the AICHR Regional Consultation to Promote in the ASEAN Communities: Towards and Beyond Enabling Master Plan 2025. The consultation aimed to share the vision for meaningful participation and inclusive employment among the ASEAN Sectoral Bodies, experts, Civil Society Organizations and Organizations of Persons with Disabilities. With the cooperation from diverse stakeholders across the region. Mr. Somchai Rungsilp, APCD representative together with Ms. Cai Cai, from the UNESCAP and Dr. Nantanoot Suwannawut from the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities launched a policy paper under Disability Inclusive Employment and Business (DIEB) project. The presentation outlined the project’s objectives, progress, as well as the policy paper, result 1 of the project. The meeting marked a significant step for the DIEB project, setting the foundation for future implementation and engagement.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Arunee Limmanee, DIEB policy expert, also presented on the employment situation of persons with disabilities in Thailand as one of panelists. There were about 40 participants attended the event. The day ended with a closing remarks from H.E. Asst. Prof. Dr. Bhanubhatra Jittiang, Representative of Thailand to the AICHR.
