APCD representative participated the AICHR Regional Consultation on Promoting the Rights to a Safe, Clean, Healthy and Sustainable Environment of Persons with Disabilities in ASEAN.

The one-day program is designed to deepen understanding and promote dialogue on the interlinkages between the right to a safe, clean, healthy, and sustainable environment and the rights of persons with disabilities in the ASEAN region. During the consultation, all sessions were shared with significant ideas, experiences including future vision among the ASEAN Sectoral Bodies, experts, civil society organizations and organizations of persons with disabilities. Mr. Somchai Rungsilp, as one of panelist of the session shared the roles of APCD on integration of rights of persons with disabilities in realizing the regional plan of action of the rights to a safe, clean, healthy and sustainable environment.

40 Participants attended the event with the welcome remarks and closing remarks were delivered by H.E. Asst. Prof. Dr. Bhanubhatra Jittiang, Representative of Thailand to the AICHR
