APCD Launches Internship Phase of the 6th Vocational Training Program for Persons with Disabilities in Food & Hospitality

Bangkok, 18 May 2026 — The Asia-Pacific Development Center on Disability (APCD) officially commenced the internship phase of its 2026 Vocational Training Program for Persons with Disabilities in Food & Hospitality today, marking the 6th consecutive year of this program, in collaboration with Centara Life Government Complex Hotel & Convention Centre Chaeng Watthana.

Mr. Piroon Laismit, Executive Director of APCD, delivered the opening speech, extending a warm welcome to all trainees with disabilities as they begin their real-life work experience at the hotel.

The program was further honored by Mrs. Kanchana Ruangsiriwichayakul, General Manager of Centara Life Government Complex Hotel & Convention Centre Chaeng Watthana, who briefed trainees on professional conduct, workplace etiquette, rules, and protocols expected throughout their internship.

During the opening day, trainees and department managers participated in team-building activities to strengthen collaboration and teamwork. Trainees also toured and were introduced to the four departments they will be assigned to: Front Office, Housekeeping, Kitchen, and Food & Beverage.

Now in its 6th year, this program reflects APCD's ongoing mission to create meaningful opportunities for persons with disabilities, enabling them to actively participate in and contribute to society, and advancing the goal of a fully inclusive society where all individuals can work and live together as equals.
