Although hearing impairments can be present at birth or develop afterward, the World Heath Organization states that, "Half of all cases of deafness and hearing impairment are avoidable through prevention, early diagnoses and management."

Neneh Lebbie expressed her keen interest in working with the people with disabilities provided they quit violence. She implored them to be law abiding and respect those in authority, while pledging her support to working with the organization in order for them to achieve their aims and objectives.
